No. The previous owners of the Archway brand abruptly declared bankruptcy in October 2008. Lance Mfg, LLC a national snack food manufacturer of brands such as Lance Sandwich Crackers and Cape Cod Potato Chips, purchased the Archway brand in December 2008.
Under the current ownership of Lance Mfg, LLC Archway’s great-tasting, freshly-baked cookies remain available in more than 20 soft and crisp varieties and are made with the classic recipes used by generations of Archway master bakers.
When Lance first purchased the Archway brand its first goal was to resume operations at Archway’s Ashland facility. Lance examined several years of history and identified the most popular selling varieties.

Yes. Today Archway has more than 20 soft and crisp varieties and we hope to continue to develop new everyday varieties for Archway enthusiasts to enjoy. Yes. We will be baking a limited amount of Archway Holiday Cookies, which will be available on retailer shelves in early November 2010. We only bake these holiday favorites once a year so we encourage Archway cookie enthusiasts to purchase their favorite varieties as soon as they become available. In 1936 a husband and wife team began baking soft oatmeal cookies and doughnuts in their garage in Battle Creek, Mich. With baking ingredients in short supply during World War II, the family concentrated exclusively on baking cookies. Since then Archway has shared in the simple traditions of families across America by providing a freshly-baked cookie made with classic, high-quality ingredients.
While the ownership of the Archway brand has changed hands and the cookie varieties have evolved over the years, today’s Archway cookies are still baked fresh with the classic recipes used by generations of Archway master bakers.
All Archway items are KOF-K certified Kosher. As of September 2009, some of the packaging is labeled as OU-D kosher. We are currently converting from one certifying organization to the other and expect to be completed with this process by the end of the year.

A $30 minimum is required (plus tax and shipping) when placing an order. Orders may also include other Lance, Inc. products made by Lance, Cape Cod Potato Chips or Tom’s Snacks.
