Makes about 3 cups sauce
Preparation: 5 minutes
This Recipe was made with
1 stick butter, cut into pieces
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
Archway Old Fashioned Molasses Cookies
Archway Dutch Cocoa Cookies
Archway Classic Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Vanilla Ice Cream
In small or medium saucepan, melt butter on high.
Add sugar and water and stir until mixture bubbles (be careful, it rises).
Immediately shut off heat, remove from burner, and crumble cookies of your choice over butter mixture
Place pan back on burner (without heat) and stir mixture to combine (raisins wlil remain).
Options: Spoon or pour warm sauce over vanilla ice cream, in parfaits, and/or with pound cake or summer fruits.
Unusual flavors: molasses sauce tastes like Shoo Fly Pie and oatmeal raisin sauce is spectacular over ice cream and bananas.
