Frosty Lemon Frosty Lemon


  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled and minced
  • 3 tablespoons chives, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon dill paste*
  • ¾ cup Archway Frosty Lemon cookies, finely ground
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ teaspoon freshly ground coarse black pepper
  • ¼ cup butter milk
  • 4 tilapia fillets or fish of choice, cut in half to make 8 strips Lemon slices for garnish, if desired


  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  2. Line a medium baking sheet with parchment paper or no-stick foil.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic, chives, lemon juice and dill paste. Stir until well combined.
  4. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  5. In a small baking sheet or plate, carefully combine Frosty Lemon Cookie crumbs, bread crumbs, salt and black pepper.
  6. In a small bowl, pour buttermilk. Dip each fish strip in the buttermilk and then bread with prepared crumb mixture.
  7. Transfer breaded fish strips to lined baking sheet, and arrange in single layer.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until fish is cooked and flakes easily.
  9. To serve, transfer to large serving platter and serve with dipping sauce.
  10. Garnish with lemon slices, if desired.
  11. *Dill paste can be found in the produce section of your local supermarket. If unavailable, substitute with 1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh dill.
